muse-wembley.jpg

As the name suggests, I’m pretty damn excited about the news that Muse shall be playing a concert to an absolutely whopping crowd next year at the newly rebuilt Wembley Stadium. June 16th 2007 is already a date in my calander, and that of many, many more people, I’m sure. And there’s a good reason for that too. Muse has long been one of my favourite bands and I’m hoping to see them live for the first time ever next year. Tickets come on sale this Saturday, no doubt from every ticket selling site under the sun, and I’ll be there, at 9 o’clock prompt, waiting to buy the tickets for my friends and I.

As you’re probably well aware, I had tickets to see Muse on the 11th of November at the MEN Arena, just down the road from me, but was forced to sell them for unforeseen circumstances that I could not avoid. I’ve spent the last month regretting it and being told by my friends how fantastic they were. Anyway, this time I don’t intend to miss out and all that remains now is to check I have no exams on the Monday, as it is during exam period (but frankly, who cares?), and to make sure that at least one of my friends would be willing to fork out the no-doubt extremely expensive price for the whole weekend (that’s including transport, hotel etc). I’ll be praying for both of those problems to be resolved within the week.

Finally, I’ll just mention that the reason there was no post on Sunday, as promised on both Thursday and Friday, is because the party I had on Saturday night managed to swallow up Sunday morning as well, right up until about 8 o’clock the next morning. The rest of Sunday was then spent sleeping, as one would expect. Anyway, back in business now. At least I hope so.

B.

EDIT (07/12/06): Just so you know, as it seems to be a popular search term over the past few days, the tickets for General admission are going to be priced at £37.50 plus the usual rip-off service charges. There’s a fan presale at 9am on Friday 8th December, the rest come on sale on at the same time on saturday. I’m lucky enough to be getting mine from the presale. I’ll keep you posted here on further developments i.e. support acts!

1. Adam stones - December 12, 2006

hey are u the guy who i bought tickets from on ebay ? i know its a bit of wild guess lol well i was just mooching around for some info on this wembley gig as i got tickets for the sunday gig the other on saturday, this gig is gonna be epic! i cant wait for it! im in the mosh pit this time tho, even better !

2. blanathema - December 12, 2006

Wow, lucky you. I went to buy them on Friday straight away but all I could get was seated (well, that’s what they’re called but who’s going to be sat down for this one?). Still pretty good ones, though. As for ebay, I think you’ve got the wrong person, there’s no chance I’d be selling these precious tickets!

3. Andy Stones - December 13, 2006

What are the chances of two Stones’ finding your blog on the same day? Feckin’ spooky!

4. sarah - December 14, 2006

hi, i’m going to see them on the sunday (17th). i hope that’s the better day! i’ve got standing tickets, and i really wanna have a good view of them- i was v. close to the stage when i saw them at wembley arena recently. it was great, though i wish it had been longer! i loved the solo guitar riffs in the new songs, as well as songs like ‘bliss’ and ’sunburn’.

5. Emily Bispham - December 15, 2006

I can’t believe you missed the gig at the MEN, I was there and it was great! got tickets for the saturday at Wembley and I can’t wait, but the price of travel and accomodation is phenomenal, i live in cumbria and there’s 3 of us going, and all together it comes to over £600, for the trains, travelodge and tickets, we’ll have to live off bread and water till june, but it’s worth it!

6. blanathema - December 15, 2006

Yeah, I can’t believe I missed it either! Never mind, as you say, Wembley is gonna be great. There are four of us going and we’re also finding it incredibly expensive to get down there. Still, £600 sounds a lot, I assume that’s for all three of you!
B.

7. Chris - December 17, 2006

I also saw Muse at the MEN, i was on the barrier and it was immense, 4 of us are going to Wembley and its costing around £500-£600 for all 4 of us to get there and hotels and the ticket prices, we are staying 2 nights though. I agree though that it will be worth every penny!!

8. Emily Bispham - December 23, 2006

i’ve been told by guy the other day that it’s actually cheaper to fly from blackpool to london stanstead than getting the train? so i’m going to check it out. and yes, it if for all three of us!

9. blanathema - December 27, 2006

Thanks for the tip, then. I’ll have to look into that. Anything to save a bit of money is more than welcome!

10. hazel - February 9, 2007

Does anyone know who the supporting acts are going to be? Other than the Klaxons, ah well, who cares anyway….MUSE!!

11. H.C - February 12, 2007

i heard Razorlight are…. but not 100% sure

12. hippy - February 19, 2007

What time of the day is the Sunday gig?

13. blanathema - February 20, 2007

I assume it’s the same as the Saturday gig, right? So would be starting at about 16:00. I’m not really sure, though, it’s just a guess.

14. Emily - March 11, 2007

Hey! My friends bought me and my twin sistet tickets 2 c Muse at Wembley 4 my birthday! Am so xcited as i hav never seen them peform yet. Anyone n e idea what the set list will be?!

19. Katie - April 10, 2007

Can’t wait till the gig-first time i’l be seing Muse! I heard Klaxons declined Muse’s offer of support but not sure. I only got seated tickets was so annoyed! Anyone want to swop some standing ones?!?!?!? But then doubt anyone will actually sit down! It’s gona be awsome!!

20. Katie - April 10, 2007

Ooo just heard The Noisettes are supporting and then maybe either Razorlight, Kasabian, Bloc Party and a few others!

21. Lisa - April 11, 2007

I really hope razorlight are one of the support bands- cos theyre pretty darn good.

Nothing MUSE though AGHHHH see you all there!

Do you know when / where I can find out who the support bands will be??

22. Lisa - April 11, 2007

that was meant to say ‘nothing to muse’ - as in Muse are better- WAYYYYY better :D

23. James Fisher - April 12, 2007

Hey I only booked my tickets 2 weeks ago, I am seeing them on June 17, and I am already really really looking forward to it as i missed out on them twice last year, but wouldn’t it be great if Maximo Park, Razorlight, and Snow Patrol supported them. I have already seen Snow Patrol, and Razorlight live in the last year and they were both amazing. WHO CARES WHO IS SUPPORTING MUSE, IT WILL BE THE GREATEST EVER CONCERT THAT WEMBLEY STADIUM HAS EVER EVER HELD. MUSE I LOVE YOU.

24. Matt from leicetser - April 12, 2007

I bought my tickets when they were all sold out,so im a bit nervous that it might be a con. has anybody got theres through the post yet.

25. robb90 - April 12, 2007

27. Matt from leicetser - April 13, 2007

how long do you think the support bands will play for because im not sure wether or not its worth turning up early to see them?

28. Matt from leicetser - April 13, 2007

I hate george micheal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MUSE not first at wembely grarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

29. James Fisher - April 13, 2007

if you heard from me that Maximo Park might be supporting do not get your hopes up because I have not heard anything from anyone else that they might be supporting

30. Josh Harvey - April 13, 2007

I got my tickets today … £325 for 3!!!!

I did get up early on the day of release and ordered them but there was a problem with the transaction :( and then they were sold out. And i’ve only just convinced my parents that nearly £110 a ticket was worth it to see Muse. TBH, my Dad was up for it, as he’s seen them live with me before, but mum was a little harder to wear down. Still, i’ve got my standing tickets now, so me and my mates are going to be there in the pit! It will be immense! I’m so excited!

31. James Radley - April 15, 2007

where did you buy your tickets from?

i have one spare but i dont know whether to take it down to the stadium…. its for the 17th, Standing

32. Jay Moore - April 19, 2007

I managed to drag myself out of bed early on a saturday morning to get my tickets for the 17th, well worth it!!
4th time ill be seeing the mighty Muse live. I think Maximo Park would be a great warm up band, just wish the godfather of soul Mr. James Brown was still here. He was better than the chillie’s at Hyde Park!!
I’m coming all the way from Jersey so I think I win seeing as my flight alone was £110!!
I would take the other one off your hands James if you still have it?

http://www.myspace.com/jsyjay

33. James Fisher - April 20, 2007

Hey I would actually love to see Maximo Park supporting Muse on June 17th

34. James Radley - April 22, 2007

how much would people offer me for a standing ticket on the 17th?

35. Lisa - April 22, 2007

ahhh come on, be fair and sell it for the price you bought it! (nah it’s up to you really!) Have you thought about selling it on ebay? I’m sure it would go there! :D

I WANNA KNOW who the darn support acts are gonna be!!!

36. James Radley - April 22, 2007

lol i think i will sell it on ebay but if i get a better offer somewhere,

i wanna know who the acts are…

Klaxons definately…

MCR wont be, they busy that weekend….

Hope to god lily allen doesnt support!

So Yeah… 1 Muse Ticket For Sale…… 17th June, STANDING!

37. James Fisher - April 23, 2007

I think we will find out who is supporting around about a month before the concerts

38. blanathema - April 23, 2007

Which should mean that it’s not long from now.

39. Lisa - April 23, 2007

I hope so!!!!

40. James Fisher - April 23, 2007

I reckon if we are lucky we will get Klaxons, Razorlight, and Maximo Park

41. James Fisher - April 23, 2007

I am afraid to say I do not think The Klaxons will be supporting as they are doing the Wireless Festival the same weekend, unless they get on quite early at either venue and then go and do the next venue

42. James Fisher - April 25, 2007

Hey gang, some of you may have noticed, some of you may not have noticed, but Muse are currently on tour in the US at the moment, i know they did a tour a couple of weeks ago, but listen up, this sucks, they are currently supporting My Chemical Romance on their US Tour, they deserve so much better.

43. Lisa - April 25, 2007

My Chemical Romance?!?! oh dear *yawn*

They could do SO much better!!

44. blanathema - April 25, 2007

There are very few bands that Muse could support and not upstage. They’re past being a support band, aren’t they?

45. James Fisher - April 26, 2007

Yes of course they are past a support band, I am having slight doubts on whether to cancel the tickets though, I really really want to see them, but the only person who i can bring with me is a 65 year old person, as I booked a disabled and a carer ticket, I am worried that it might get too loud, or it might be ok if they try and spread the sound across the stadium.

46. James Fisher - April 26, 2007

Anyway back to the point, what do you guys think they will start and end with on the 17th, do you think they will do the same setlist both evenings, and what is your favourite all time Muse Song?

47. Jess - April 26, 2007

I got a Muse ticket today!! Standing too! Me and 4 mates on the 17th. £76 ticket and travel included. Pretty good eh!

I reallllly hope The Klaxons are supporting, I wish MCR would. My 2 favourite bands in one night!

I reckon they’ll open with Knights of Cydonia or close with it, it works either way, it’ll probably be the same set list, they may mix it up a bit perhaps.
My favourite song by them always changes… at the mo I’m really loving Map of the Problematique and Fillip.
I’m so excited!!

48. James Fisher - April 27, 2007

The best thing about it is that I only payed £46.20 for my two tickets, as I am disabled. But I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to this concert at the moment. I saw Robbie Williams at Milton Keynes Bowl on September 19th last year, and even I admit he did dissapoint us a bit, but Muse should be awesome, I have never seen them before so I cannot tell anyone what they are like yet.

49. James Fisher - April 27, 2007

How do you think they will enter the stadium, because there is not a chance of them entering the stadium by the stage.

50. Lisa - April 27, 2007

hey I saw that exact Robbie Milton Keynes performance!!! I agree he wasn’t on top form but I still had a great evening.

I don’t think we need worry whether muse will be good- they WILL be amzing- they can’t not be! I’ve seen them twice now- once at Glastonbury Festival and once at the ‘Eden Project’ in cornwall. That was one of the best moments of my life- it was a really tiny venue so really intimate and you could get really close- FANTASTIC! Wembley will be like the opposite but I’m sure they will still be incredible!

Interesting point abuot how they will arrive! I really don’t know!

51. Jess - April 27, 2007

As soon as anyone finds out who the supporting acts are let it be known on here sharpish!!!!!!!

52. James Fisher - April 27, 2007

Hey, I bet none of you guys have thought of this idea, but how would you lot feel if Arctic Monkeys support, as they came on just before Muse at Leeds/Reading last year. Look I know they are not the greatest band in the world, but it would be cool wouldn’t it.

53. James Radley - April 27, 2007

i would love to see arctic monkeys again… they were amazin at leeds fest,,, but ive heard there playin wembley for princess diana’s memorial gig,…..

54. James Radley - April 28, 2007

ok… people might be a bit freaked out about this news… but…

One band that could be re-uniting the remaining members and supporting muse at wembley, could be….

…..

…..

…………..

THE BEE GEE’S!!

oh dear god

55. Jess - April 28, 2007

They’re still alive?!?!?!

AHHHH

56. James Fisher - April 29, 2007

Nooooo Way, I have heard that Feeder might be supporting

57. James Fisher - April 29, 2007

Feeder may be supporting

58. Lisa - April 29, 2007

the BEE GEEs?!!!! is that a serious possibility??? good grief!

59. James Fisher - April 30, 2007

How about if the stereophonics support, we all know they have a new album out in the autumn sometime, and they might want to experience wembley for the first time.

60. Lisa - April 30, 2007

now THAT would be good! I rather like stereophonics! Reckon it’s a realistic possibility? They arent too big for muse? nahhhh!

61. James Radley - April 30, 2007

Klaxons supporting on the Saturday… Not the sunday….

Lilly allen almost definate to support one of the two dates….

Rage Against machine will NOT be supporting…. Far too big of a band…

Bee Gee’s utter rubbish

and….

My Chemical Romance MIGHT be able to make it to one of the gigs…

Possibly the sunday if anything.

Still one sunday ticket for sale… STANDING!!! any offers?

62. Beryl - May 1, 2007

BASTARD LILY ALLEN

63. sam from scotland - May 1, 2007

64. sam from scotland - May 1, 2007

i think they will open with take a bow but not sure what they will close with. i must say ma fav song from muse is either hysteria or endlessly but both song are bloody phenomenal. straight as soon as there is a definate supporting act list someone post it up here please

65. James Radley - May 2, 2007

OK… SOME BIG NEWS!

FIRST SUPPORT ACT TO BE CONFIRMED TO PLAY AT WEMBLEY STADIUM WITH MUSE:

“The BEEGEE’s have been officially confirmed as the first support act for Muse at their recently announced mega-gig in the new Wembley Stadium”

66. blanathema - May 2, 2007

Where the hell did you get that from!?

I can’t seem to find it anywhere other than on the Muse forum, which later goes on to say that it was all a joke. What about the streets? I can’t even remember where I heard that one but I hope to God that it’s a joke too. I may have to leave when they’re on.

67. Lisa - May 2, 2007

69. James Fisher - May 2, 2007

James, you seem to have an obsession with the beegees

70. Lisa - May 2, 2007

haha is going to see muse merely an excuse to see their beegees support act?!

71. James Fisher - May 3, 2007

We need some bands who will gear us up for Muse to support, not The Beegees

72. James Fisher - May 3, 2007

Aaah aaah aaah aaah stayin’ alive stayin’ alive.

87. charlotte - May 9, 2007

I’ve got two sunday tickets to swap for saturday standing if anyone want in?

Also, nothing has been confirmed yet for supports but muselive has said that the Streets are performing, this info comes from a backing singer of the streets, he could be bullshitting we do not know.

Just wait it out.

88. James Radley - May 9, 2007

i hope to god they dont….

92. James Radley - May 12, 2007

i heard they will be announced really close to the date… so not long from now… as theres only 36 days to go!!!!

93. James Fisher - May 12, 2007

I personally reckon on the sunday it might be some line up like Klaxons, The Beegees( if the rumours are true), and Razorlight

94. James Radley - May 12, 2007

do you think they will close the roof so its a dark effect?

95. Jess - May 12, 2007

That would be cool… if there’s gonna be lasers it be so much more WOW

I can’t believe the support acts still haven’t been announced! =/

i doubt they will be announced untill a couple of weeks before the night

98. Lisa - May 12, 2007

I’m really hoping Razorlight will support

And I really hope Lily Allen doesn’t- nothing against her as a person or her music really, I just think it’s a bit of a bad warm up for the mighty muse!

They have got an extra special myspace site for the two wembley stadium gigs http://www.myspace.com/museatwembley

100. paul - May 12, 2007

my chemical romance suck but ive seen bloc they r quality and aswell as them id like kasabian n wolfmother

101. James Fisher - May 12, 2007

How about this for an idea if the roof is shut because of lighting reasons how about they enter to hysteria by three pods that come out beneath the stage, what do you think, I think that sounds a good idea

102. paul - May 13, 2007

they will probably start with take a bow

103. paul - May 13, 2007

its matt bellamy’s birthday on the 9th june a week before the first wembley date

104. James Fisher - May 13, 2007

i think they will either start with Hysteria, Take A Bow (I hope they save that to last), or Knights of Cydonia

105. paul - May 13, 2007

when i saw them at wembley arena they played take a bow first they will play one of the their best most commerical songs last probably stockholm, hysteria or new born

106. James Fisher - May 13, 2007

Really really really hope it is STOCKHOLM SYNDROME

I think we are on the South Stand Block 125, I just have to see them as I missed out on them twice last year, I knew they would get to Wembley Stadium this year or next year.

120. paul - May 17, 2007

the support acts are most like to be the streets and lily allen so i will be taking guns to the gig

121. Lisa - May 17, 2007

streets and lily allen…that really makes me sad

122. Albert Steptoe - May 18, 2007

would’nt it be great if snow patrol and maximo park DID NOT support Muse!! yay

123. Albert Steptoe - May 18, 2007

Further more, of all the bands mentioned above, I would like to see MCR & RATM. If they are not there then I will arrive late. Lily? The Streets? At a MUSE gig? lol! Next they will be saying the Bee Gees are gonna play…

124. Lisa - May 18, 2007

I have no problem with Snow Patrol… especially compared to the streets and lily

125. Si - May 18, 2007

I have 2 tickets for the saturday gig seating for sale..

I bought two and then found out my friends had managed to get 6 together for the sunday.

Email me if interested sibry@hotmail.com

126. az - May 18, 2007

if theres no room it will make it all the more fun!

127. paul - May 18, 2007

in respose to comments 123 and 124 how can u criticise maximo park they are a class live band and plus mcr are awful

128. James Fisher - May 18, 2007

it would be my dream if Maximo Park, Snow Patrol, and Razorlight Support

129. Lisa - May 18, 2007

paul- oy I like Maximo Park and didn’t mention them! I merely expressed a like of Snow Patrol and a dislike of Lily Allen and The Streets in comparison :)

130. paul - May 19, 2007

dream supports bands would be blink 182, the killers and oasis

131. Lisa - May 19, 2007

oasis! god yes. But that’s completely impossible isn’t it?

132. paul - May 19, 2007

lol defiinitly they are twice as big as muse

133. paul - May 19, 2007

wolfmother would be an amzing support act

134. Stephy-Superficial - May 19, 2007

Hey again! Sorry for the late reply

this is the link but the bands have changed slightly to a better variation:
http://www.buzznet.com/tags/wolfmother/journals/123453/

don’t know which days, but klaxons are on Saturday xxxxxx

135. Matttt - May 20, 2007

I will kill myself if Razorlight play, my guess is…
MCR and The Streets as main headliners (the streets on 16th-its been confirmed)
Then other possibilities for the acts below are:
Arcade Fire (That would be ‘bliss’ ;)
Bloc Party
Kasabian
Feeder
Klaxons
Wolfmother
Lily Allen

The lineup is being announced on monday
and Muse are rumoured to have an orchestra on stage

136. Stephy-Superficial - May 20, 2007

Wow an orchestra.
This is going to be QUALITY!! :D I like Razorlight, but omg if Arcade Fire play that would just make the whole thing!

137. James Fisher - May 20, 2007

Wow I am looking forward to this more than I was before, Muse with an orchestra on stage, this is set to be the best concert you will ever see if you have tickets, Muse with an orchestra It just makes sense

138. pete - May 20, 2007

please…not the streets

at least not on the Saturday :S
an orchestra onstage would be IMMENSE

139. Jess - May 20, 2007

An orchestra?

Ok I’m even more excited even though I thought that impossible.

About bloody time the support bands get announced. I’ll be checking as soon as I get up!

140. blanathema - May 20, 2007

Thank the lord we’re eventually getting something. I too hope to God that it’s not the Streets but I suppose Muse with an orchestra will more than make up for that slight blip in the quality of the day.

Not long to go now!

141. James Fisher - May 20, 2007

They release Map of Problematique on June 18th

142. Kaiser - May 20, 2007

OFFICIAL SUPPORT ACTS ARE TO BE ANNOUNCED ON THE NME WEBSITE TOMORROW!

go check it for yourrrselves now. search for “muse” or “muse wembley”

see you on the sunday guys.

143. James Fisher - May 21, 2007

Right here goes then here is the official support line up:

Saturday June 16

Muse
the Streets
Rodrigo Y Gabriela
Zane Lowe DJing

Sunday June 17

Muse
My Chemical Romance
Biffy Clyro
Zane Lowe DJing

More acts to be announced soon it says

144. Lisa - May 21, 2007

CHEERS! Well I can imagine the Streets being rather dull really- I had never heard of Rodrigo Y Gabriela, but searched them on youtube and some bootleg footage of them covering ‘Wish You Were Here’ by Pink Floyd looked pretty good- the guy used a beer bottle to do slide guitar! So they might be ok actually! (though there are many bands I would have prefered) I can imagine Matt liking them for their guitar skills!

More to be announced…does this imply another support band for each night?

145. James Fisher - May 21, 2007

Possibly another couple for each night who knows, anyway I am going on the Sunday.

146. Lisa - May 21, 2007

ahhh cool how are you feeling about My Chemical Romance and Biffy Clyro then? I reckon that is a better lineup than the Saturday one! *jealous* !

147. blanathema - May 21, 2007

SHIT, SHIT, SHIT and DOUBLE SHIT!!! I feel like having a tantrum like a 2 year old. How could they put My Chemical Romance on te Sunday and give us Saturday people the bloody streets? That is so unfair!! I WANT MCR.

Not happy. Not at all.

148. Stefan Pryce - May 21, 2007

I am massively disappointed with The Streets and Rodrigo Y Gabriela. How the hell did they pick those? Im absolutely gutted that Im not going on Sunday now. :(

149. James Fisher - May 21, 2007

How about one of the other acts been Razorlight or Klaxons for both days

150. Jess - May 21, 2007

YES!!!
MCR and Biffy Clyro on Sunday!!

Get in!

Muse and MCR are my 2 favourite bands and some of my friends have seen Biffy live and said they were fantastic!

I used to wish I could’ve got Saturday tickets… not anymore!!

*dances round the house*

151. Lisa - May 21, 2007

I’m struggling to maintain my attempted positive outlook on the Saturday supports

152. Lisa - May 21, 2007

…if they add the Klaxons or Razorlight, I will be happier

153. James Fisher - May 22, 2007

I reckon they will feel sorry for you lot going on the Saturday and add them both

154. James Fisher - May 22, 2007

i think generally they are the two bands left to announce and they will announce Klaxons for Saturday and Razorlight for Sunday, but who knows they might announce two more for each day

155. Lisa - May 22, 2007

cool ok! Ahhh I would rather Razorlight to be honest though either will improve the current lineup!

I absolutely CANNOT WAIT, surely this is THE concert of 2007 to be at! I love how many times Matt changes guitars in one concert :)

156. James Fisher - May 22, 2007

So do I, in the version of Bliss they did at Glastonbury, When the guitar came on it sounded like a car starting up, do you think they will have any new material to preview as yet?

157. James Fisher - May 22, 2007

PS Do you think Biffy Clyro may try doing a better performance than My Chemical Romance, because I honestly think Biffy Clyro are a Scotch version of Foo Fighters

158. Steph - May 22, 2007

i think they’ve just published the support acts on nme. anyone wanna swap 2 sunday standing tickets for my 2 saturday standing tickets?

159. paul - May 22, 2007

lmao woooooooo wooooooooooo sunday is soooo much better soooooo happy n razorlight will be better live than klaxons who cant sing wooooo sunday is gunna be awesomeeeeeeeeee

160. paul - May 22, 2007

despite mcr still being poo

161. paul - May 22, 2007

ive seen biffy clyro supportin bloc party n they were awesome cant waiiiiit also zaine lowe wot a ledge he will definitly get any crowd goin p.s for any standers wot time are you gunna get into line

162. Lisa - May 22, 2007

OY wanna make us Saturday ticket-holders feel ANY worse?! DAMN SATURDAYS lol it’s ok enjoy it. But razorlight and klaxons arent confirmed yet or anything are they?

163. Lisa - May 22, 2007

I love how long this page is!

164. sam from scotland - May 23, 2007

well am fukin over the moon cant wait now with mcr and biffy that will b one awesome gig. i was gonna go and c biffy in the barrowlands but now dont need to woohoo and i also tried to get tix for mcr gig in glasgow but were sold out quite pissed off at that but now will c them neway so am well chuffed

165. James Fisher - May 23, 2007

hey, I am thinking of booking Stereophonics as the follow up to this concert, as i have seen them before, one question, do I book them for Brighton Centre, or Wembley Arena

166. paul - May 23, 2007

wembley arena its only bout 1or 2km away from wembley stadium

167. Jess - May 23, 2007

On MCR’s myspace it says they’re in another country on the 17th. But on Muse’s it says they’re still supporting them. I’m confused!!
Muse better be right!
Perhaps MCR cancelled what they were doing before to support Muse?? Or maybe they will be back in time after it to still support at Wembley??

168. paul - May 23, 2007

i hope they cant make it there are so many better bands which could support

169. Lisa - May 23, 2007

or maybe they are actually on the Saturday??! (please please please replace the streets please please please!)

170. James Fisher - May 23, 2007

Hey I think they will do one afternoon show, and an evening show on the same day, but if you have read NME this week it says hard-fi are going to be doing a surprise gig somewhere, you don’t think they would be supporting Muse do you?

171. sam from scotland - May 24, 2007

i really hope not althought dont u think that maroon5 would b an amzin support act for them tho. hard fi just are muse support act quality.

172. James Fisher - May 24, 2007

Yeah they would be pretty good, but I am expecting Razorlight, and Klaxons to be announced.

173. James Fisher - May 24, 2007

Awwww I am really starting to feel sorry for you lot who are going to see Muse on 16th June, I am so glad i have got the better day

174. Crystal - May 24, 2007

Am so dissappointed about the Saturday support act. Muse the biggest rock band in the world, have the Steets supporting them?? Do not understand at all. Must be a ploy to get us to buy more drink while the streets on. Sunday sounds more like it.

175. Jess - May 24, 2007

James Fisher, I really hope you’re right. Klaxons or Razorlight being added to Sunday would be the icing on a very nice cake :D

176. paul - May 24, 2007

the reason sunday has got a better line up is to sell tickets because not all seated tickets have been sold yet

177. James Fisher - May 25, 2007

I went to see G4 in Brighton with Mum last night, they were amazing, I booked the tickets for mum’s christmas present

178. James Fisher - May 25, 2007

i believe there were 16 seats available for saturday and 21 seats available for sunday around about 2 hours ago

179. Lynne - May 25, 2007

cant believe the streets are supporting saturday-whos bright idea was that????? oh well good time to get tanked up,toilet break+ blow up my inflatable alien!sooooooooo exited now-havent mentioned to dad that I’ll be away on fathers day(travelling home-booo!) think they should move fathers day this year-muse comes first!has anyone got their tickets from ticketmaster yet?Im travelling from scotland on my own(pals have no taste in music!) thats how much I adore muse!!3 weeks 2mo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

180. Lisa - May 25, 2007

surely they have to announce the remaining support acts soon- the big day has practically arrived!

181. James Fisher - May 25, 2007

Yee-haa I can like celebrate big time, I am going to see STEREOPHONICS at the Brighton Centre on November 5th got tickets for £42-75 this afternoon

182. paul - May 25, 2007

im goin sum 41 for old times sake on 5th july n im goin bloc party in december who av got the cribs in support cant wait for both buuuut more importantly MUUSSEEEE is in 22 days and 18 hours

183. Lisa - May 25, 2007

EXCELLENT! may the countdown commence

I’m going to Glastonbury Festival- was really hoping (stupidly) that Muse might play but as they are not, I’m just extra happy to have tickets for Wembles BRING. IT. ON.

184. Jess - May 26, 2007

I have an urge to buy glowsticks

If you see a girl standing on the 17th with loads of multi coloured-ness about her, it will be me

3 weeks to go! *sits patiently*.

185. Albert Steptoe - May 26, 2007

To all those who wish they were going on the Sunday and not the Saturday …

Well…

a DVD of the Saturday gig is going to be released at Christmas. That is a small consolation I think.

The Streets! I still can not get over it. Whatever happened to the Hives, I wish they were playing.

OMG The Streets! I’d sooner have the Bee Gees’s which were rumoured earlier, straight up.

186. Lisa - May 26, 2007

Do you mean there is only going to be a DVD of Saturday, and not Sunday?

I rather want the DVD to be of the night I’m going :) (Saturday)

I know! Bee Gees over the Streets any day! I would rather…cliff richard (NO actually I take that back NOTHING is worse than cliff)

Do Matt Dom and Chris like the Streets or something? I have never know how much say the actual band have in what suport acts they have- do they actually decide? It seems like a very strange choice considering the amount of better bands they could have had

187. James Fisher - May 26, 2007

hey gang guess what MY TICKETS HAVE ARRIVED FOR MUSE,

188. paul - May 26, 2007

the dvd is a pointless conselation so ha p.s. jess around wot time r u goin 2 start cueing for the gig

189. Jess - May 27, 2007

The coach I’m getting there leaves at 2, so I expect I’ll actually get there at like 4:30 :( I wish it would just leave earlier!!!
I’m also concerned my friend who has the receipt so we can get our tickets on the coach will not get there in time/lose the reciept. I’d actually cry!!

Me and my friends are gonna try our best to push to the front though :D It will be every man (and woman) for theirself when you’re in there!!

20 DAYS PEOPLE!

190. az - May 27, 2007

cant wait!!! well for muse, think i mite try and get a bit of sleep while the streets r on,expecting to get home about 1.30 sunday morning and then off on a 25mile walk for charity at 7 sunday morning!any1 wana take my shift at work monday mornin? start at 6! think i may be dead by then. oh well, will all be worth it in the end, now i dont wana hear any more bout the sunday gig!

191. paul - May 28, 2007

i fink im gunna get in the cue at like 7 in the mornin cos i dnt fink its gunna be possible 2 push ur way past 20 odd thousand people

192. James Fisher - May 28, 2007

I think we have our final line up gang:

Saturday 16 June
The Streets
Rodrigo Y Gabriela
CSS
Zane Lowe DJing between performances
MUSE

Sunday 17 June
My Chemical Romance
Biffy Clyro
We Are Scientists
Zane Lowe Djing Between performances
MUSE

193. Lisa - May 28, 2007

cheers! who even are CSS? Am I ignorant for not knowing? anyway seems Saturday aint great but I don’t even care (well that is I don’t care a LOT) because it’s all about MUUUUSSSEE! :D

194. Chris - May 28, 2007

Dude, you can not be serious about the Sunday gig?
Where’d you hear that?

I’m on the Saturday. Aha The Streets. I’m just going to laugh at them.
The Sunday is so much better but who cares everyone…

We’re all seeing Muse! That’s all we’re going to see and that’s why we brought our tickets so let’s all rejoice and smile about Matt, Dom and Chris doing what the do best on that weekend of the 16th & 17th June. C’MON! MUSE!!! AHA! YES!!!!!….

Plus…the DVD being on the Saturday is cool cos I can sit there watch it and say…I was there! Haha.

195. sam from scotland - May 28, 2007

News from NME. A spokesperson quashed other suggestions, saying ” despite rumours, CSS and We Are Scientists will not be supporting the band (muse) on either date”

That is very crap i was looking forward to we are scientists so i was, but oh well i got mcr and biffy to keep me company woohoo.

196. Chris - May 29, 2007

Dude, who cares about mcr and biffy clyro.

WE’RE ALL SEEING MUSE! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

197. Jess - May 29, 2007

We Are Scientists would have been great…

But I don’t care who else is supporting now I just want to see the most amazing band in the whole world ever ever ever
18 days…
Just
A
Bit
Excited

198. elvenluna - May 29, 2007

Finding out whose gonna support Sunday’s concert has made me extra excited!

199. paul - May 29, 2007

css suck so saturday people have dodged a bullet

200. sam from scotland - May 31, 2007

yeh muse fukin rock this planet cant fukin wait what a night that is gona b. i cum back from magaluf the day b4 the concert and then i gotta make ma way donw to london but its all worth it

201. Dan - May 31, 2007

I heard Jeff Buckley is play-*leaves*

*comes back*
I’m not AS excited cause i saw them twice last year, but OH GOD, here’s hoping they play some SHOWBIZ toons

202. Lisa - May 31, 2007

Hang on, I have just got VERY confused about the support acts because different people have told me different things and I can’t get on the muse website so just to clarify is this correct?

Saturday 16 June
The Streets
Rodrigo Y Gabriela
CSS
Zane Lowe DJing between performances
MUSE

Sunday 17 June
My Chemical Romance
Biffy Clyro
We Are Scientists
Zane Lowe Djing Between performances
MUSE

cheers

203. Jess - May 31, 2007

NME denied that We Are Scientists and CSS are playing, didn’t they? So the other supports are still to be announced.
I think

204. Tony - May 31, 2007

I am going on the Saturday. Bit disapointed that The Streets are supporting. Nothing against them, i just don’t think they will go down very well. CSS aren’t too bad. i am just happy that I am seeing Muse.

205. Lisa - June 1, 2007

2 weeks tomorrow people! (for the Saturday) ohhh yes

I hope they play ‘Plug In Baby’ at a ridiculously loud volume

206. Lisa - June 1, 2007

I’m going to write to Matt Bellamy and demand that they play a version of the Doctor Who theme tune

dum dum dum du du dum du-
oohhh-oooo-oooooooooooohhhh wweeeeee-oooowww-ooooooooo

207. Lisa - June 1, 2007

sorry about my previous irrelevant post

Just to say, I’m trying to sell 4 Saturday seated tickets- £40 each- let me know if you’re interested :D

208. Chris - June 1, 2007

Wahey! Dirty Pretty Things supporting on the Saturday. That’s a relief that Muse have at least one well known and decent band supporting. Going to be Immense.

Saturday - Seated
Sunday - Standing

GET IN! CAN’T WAIT!…..Come on Muse!
They have to play Shrinking Universe and Hate This & I’ll Love You.

209. Lisa - June 2, 2007

DIRTY PRETTY!!! YESSSS! Thank the lord. I’m not a huge fan but what I have heard of them I really like- I think they’re great and a lot more deserved of Muse than The Streets! BARGAIN

Cheers for the info, Chris :)

210. Chris - June 2, 2007

Your welcome. I’m pleased about it too. :D

211. Jess - June 2, 2007

Band called Shy Child are also supporting on Sunday… have listened to them and they are… not bad. Quite different. But I’ve heard they’re good live so they will probably put on a good show! :)

212. James Fisher - June 3, 2007

My dad is actually going somewhere else on the day, but he has promised me that he will get back home for about 3 - 3.30pm, so then we will make our way to Wembley. Is anyone taking any protection stuff with them in case it gets loud, if so what are you taking with you, because I think Dad will need it, and possibly myself as well.

213. Lisa - June 3, 2007

No I’m not taking any loudness protection- I don’t quite understand- Do you mean like earplugs? that sort of thing? I can see that you may have to for your Dad and stuff. Will ordinary earplugs work in making it a bit quieter?

214. paul - June 4, 2007

wtf man loudness protection i want it as loud as it can go … cant waiiiiiiiiiit

215. Jess - June 4, 2007

It’s gotta be loud that’s the way to have it! :)

O
M
G

So hyped up!

216. Lisa - June 4, 2007

it’s so sooooon!

who’s gonna be moshing with me with Saturday standing tickets then?

Muse are the greatest (with the exception of the Beatles…and perhaps Pink Floyd)

217. James Fisher - June 5, 2007

Right I have thought of a couple of ways they could get on stage let me know what you think of these ideas.

1. Matt screams wembley from the top of the arch, and bungee jumps down to the ground, Chris and domonic get on by the stage.

2. Matt screams wembley, everyone will wonder where it’s coming from, then all three of them appear coming out of the tunnel that the football players come out of.

218. Lisa - June 5, 2007

ooohh I like the bungee thing!

I must say, I will be highly dissapointed if Matt does not scream wembley

I hope they do something exciting or inventive

219. James Fisher - June 5, 2007

Don’t be silly you know he is going to scream it loads of times

220. paul - June 5, 2007

wtf r u people talking about who cares how he enters n of course he wont bungee jump off the arch thats ridiculous and he cant walk through the tunnel as there wud be at least 20000 luving fans between him n the stage

221. Jess - June 5, 2007

I wish he would… then I could touch him

Not in a sick way mind.

They should fly in with jetpacks :D
…….
….
..

OK maybe taking it too far!

222. az - June 5, 2007

omg! is anyone else driving down? theres no where 2 park! (starting to panic) any suggestions? am coming from ipswich so A12 all the way.
any help very welcome!
Thanks.

223. Tony - June 5, 2007

I was going to travel down by rail but engineering works have knocked that on the head. I will probably drive to outskirts of london and get a tube to Wembley.

224. az - June 5, 2007

thinking of parking at newbury park but tube will take bout hour and half to two hours 2 get back after,i’m usually home in that time when parking at wembley for the arena. if anyone was planning on parking at stanmore tube station DON’T, as there are engineering works on the section of track between wembley and Stanmore that weekend, and no tubes will be running.

225. Tony - June 5, 2007

I was planning on parking at Stanmore. Time to think of Plan C.

226. James Fisher - June 7, 2007

Has anyone got a copy of NME yet, if not there is a CLASSIC MUSE POSTER IN IT

227. James Fisher - June 7, 2007

As I live south of London we will be travelling by train to London Bridge, then get to Wembley from there

228. paul - June 7, 2007

wot county do u live in? cos im travelling from essex

229. James Fisher - June 8, 2007

I will be travelling from Surrey

230. Marcel - June 8, 2007

Hello

I’m not from UK, but I’ll go to the concert on Sunday. Does somebody know, if its allowed to take a camera into the stadium? I didn’t find something on the wembley website.

Thanks

231. kim - June 8, 2007

think The Streets are supporting Muse because their bassist did Muse a huge favour by standing in for Muse’s bassist at V Festival a few years ago- he was very good! I didnt even realise The Streets had a bassist!

232. az - June 8, 2007

i will be travelling from suffolk, have heard that watford have a carpark quite cheap for all day parking at the tube station, and direct line to wembley. not sure how easy it is to find the station at watford, but definatly looking like the most likly option at the moment. GOT MY TICKETS THROUGH THE POST THIS MORNING!! nearly there now! cant wait.

Marcel, i dont know if you can take a camera or not, but alot of places dont let you, i would not chance it unless you can find out from someone who knows. if you do manage to find out, please let us know. thanks.

233. paul - June 8, 2007

morgan nicholls - the bassist from the streets toured with muse on the whole of their last tour as an unofficial fourth member

234. Finn - June 8, 2007

Following their headline shows at Wembley Stadium next weekend, how many times will the band have played at Wembley (all venues) in their career?
Just wondering…
if you could email me with the answer, that would be great

235. Stephy-Superficial - June 8, 2007

8 days to go!!!!!!!!!!! wooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! ^_^

236. Lisa - June 9, 2007

Anyone else gettng annoyed with all the hype over George Michael performing first at Wembley? I am!

7 DAYS! xx

237. James Fisher - June 9, 2007

How about if they compiled a song that sounds a bit like the apprentice theme tune with a bit of the doctor who theme tune especially for these two concerts, it is possible, Matt is that mad

238. Jools - June 10, 2007

Have a beer before you go in …. You’ll need a second mortgage to buy alcohol and food inside Wembley

239. James Fisher - June 10, 2007

Guys you may not have noticed, but Muse finished with Take A Bow at the Isle Of Wight festival last night, do you think this means they will end with Take A Bow at Wembley, I am expecting them to do a 2 and a half hour set, with between 20-25 songs, with 2 or 3 encores, what do you expect next weekend?

240. Lisa - June 10, 2007

2 and a half hours!!! that’s long! I really hope so though!

No offence but I hope they don’t end with Take A Bow- I think many songs would be a more effective end.

2/3 encores sounds about right

241. Jess - June 10, 2007

I watched that George Michael Road to Wembley programme last night just so I could see how the stadium looked when a concert was being held… it was so cool, the atmosphere at Muse is just gonna be electric. Week today for me and other Sunday people, weeeeee!!! :)

242. paul - June 10, 2007

yeh jess guna be awesome btw james fisher nearly everyfing u say is wrong… i very much doubt they wil be on stage for 2 hours and i realy doubt they will finish wiv take a bow because its nowhere near to being one of their best songs p.s. SUNDAY RULEEEESSSS

243. Lisa - June 10, 2007

Yeh I thought 2 hours sounded optermistic! (unfortunately) What time are people aiming to arrive at Wembley? Any really eager people getting there to queue hours before? I’m not though it is tempting! p.s. SATURDAY RULEEEESSSSS
